What is Picolation?

Picolation is a QR-code event photo-sharing web app. A host creates an event and gets a printable QR code; guests scan it with their phone, open the link in their browser, and upload photos to a shared live gallery. No app download or account is required for guests.

Do guests need to download an app or create an account?

No. Guests scan the QR code with their phone's camera and the link opens in Safari or Chrome. They upload photos directly from the browser — no App Store visit and no sign-up.

How do I create an event and get my QR code?

Sign in with Google at picolation.com, create an event with a name, and Picolation generates a QR code you can download and print on a sign, table tent, or slide deck. The whole thing takes about 30 seconds.

Can I display the photos on a projector or big screen?

Yes. The gallery updates in real time as guests upload, so it works well on a projector or any shared screen at a wedding, party, or conference.

Do photos appear in real time?

Yes. As soon as a guest uploads a photo it appears in the live gallery for everyone viewing the album. Guests can also opt in to push notifications when new photos arrive.

Can the host download all the photos afterwards?

Yes. The host can download the complete album as a zip file at any time during or after the event.
